4-Bobs is a super playful right-hander and potentially the easiest wave in the region. It is the kind of wave where when you swing off the bottom and glance upward you are gifted with a soft lip or perfectly tapered shoulder that is just begging you to go to town on it. Not known for its barrels, although you can find a few on higher tides, the best waves at 4Bobs are generally just a little over-head as they seem best matched to the angle of the reef and the bigger sets often mush out a bit. So you’ve heard that it’s easy and it’s fun, and you shouldn’t really fall unless you are getting a bit carried away, which is a good thing, as the reef on the inside of 4Bobs is just as shallow and sharp as it is colourful.
